This letter forwards additional information regarding our plans for modification of the Unit 1 Control Room Emergency Habitability Systems (CREHS) and the control room pressure envelope.
The current configuration of the CREHS is described in the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report, Section 9.13.4.
Testing of CREHS is performed in accordance with Technical Specification surveillance requirements.
Planned modifications to these systems include:
- 1. Increasing the capacity of CREHS (Attachment 1),
- 2. Addition of control room ventilation radiation monitors (Attachment 2), and
- 3. Removal of the temporary wall separating the Unit 1 and Unit 2 control rooms (Attachment 3).
