Dear Mr. Thorne:
Enclosed is an export license application from Transnuclear', Inc. for a license to export 381,119 Kgs of normal uranium as UF, for enrichment at Eurodif, Tricastin, France and for ultimate return to khe U.S. for use in the U.S. light water reactors.
Before taking action on this application we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures, as to whether the proposed export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act, as amended.
Please note that the country of origin of this material is Canada.
Not'e, too, that the proposed export involves the enrichment of U.S. exported material.
