Transmittal of Directive 5.6," Integrated Materials Performance Evaluation Program (IMPEP)"
Purpose-Management Directive 5.6 has been revised to incorporate Handbook 5.6, Part IV, " Programmatic Assessment." Part IV contains guidance for the management review board and additional experience gained from the Nebraska and New Mexico reviews for the Integrated Materials Performance Evaluation Program (IMPEP). The guidance has been written so that Agreement States may perform self-assessments of their programs with the knowledge that NRC reviews will be likely to produce similar conclusions.
