The' Director, Human Resources, reports to a-member of the Board of '
- Directors _of the private company that now owns GA Technologies, Inc.:
~ (GA). The board member.is also a Senior Vice President responsible for the GA division under which all SNM-696 activities 1are.' conducted.. This Senior Vice President reports directly to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GA Technologies, Inc.

. The title of the former Manager, Licensing =and Nuclear! Compliance, is now Manager, Licensing,-Safety, and Nuclear Compliance.,

' Licensing,' Safety and Compliance LAll: functions responsible for assuring compliance with applicable license requirements (Nuclear Material" Accountability,-Statistics-and Measurement Control, Nuclear Safety, Health Physics, and-Industrial Safety) remain unchanged and arenstill a part of the Human. Resources organization.at.

Brock, Region V-Facility Inspector, on January 28, 1987. He foresaw no safety;or-environmental problem with the requested authorization.
CONCLUSION Issuance of the amendment authorizing the requested changes in organization is recommended.
