Mr. Pedro M. Sajaroff Deputy Director, Regulatory Authority National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA)
Avenida del Libertador 8250 1429 Buenos Aires, Argentina j
nor ur Sajaroff:
I am writing to introduce myself as the new Director of the Office of International Programs (OIP) and to update you on issues relating to the administration of ourjoint technical information exchange arrangement.
As you may know, Carlton R. Stoiber retired as Director of OIP in January 1999. In June, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) selected me as his successor. The NRC announcement of my selection and background is enclosed for your information.
In our joint exchange arrangement, both parties must identify an " arrangement administrator" through whom contacts, issues and documents are channeled. By this letter, on behalf of the NRC, I am naming myself as the arrangement administrator, it has been quite some time since we have confirmed with you your designated arrangement administrator. I would like to request that, by return post, you provide the name and title of your designee. I would also like to confirm that you are receiving NRC documents regularly. Enclosed please find a printout of the routinely generated documents which we have sent you in the past. We would like to know if you are still receiving these documents, if they are useful to you, or if deletions or additions should be made.
Finally, as these arrangements provide for reciprocal exchanges of documents, we would like to encourage you to send us your organization's annual report and other documentation which would aid us in understanding your nuclear regulatory program in greater depth.
I would also like to take this opportunity of informing you about electronic access to NRC documents. Effective October 1,1999, NRC plans to open its new Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) to the public via the NRC web site at
- <http://www.nrc. gov />. All publicly available documents generated or received by NRC from that date forward will be represented in both image and searchable full text in the ADAMS Publicly Available Records database. The contents of the current public access system, the Bibliographic Retrieval System (BRS), will be represented in ar ADAMS legacy database; BRS records are largely bibliographic citations to NRC d9euments. You and your staff will be able to search, retrieve, and download directly from these databases. Paper copies of pre-ADAMS NRC documents will continue to be available gratis, upon written request from your Agreement Administrator, from the NRC Public Docurnent Room (PDR). PDR librarians can also assist you in using ADAMS.

44 Beiyaun Houhal Beijing,10000 China vear ur. Kan:
I am writing to introduce myself as the new Director of the Office of International Programs (OlP) and to update you on issues relating to the administration of our joint technical information exchange arrangement.
As you may know, Carlton R. Stoiber retired as Director of OIP in January 1999. In June, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) selected me as his successor. The NRC announcement of my selection and background is enclosed for your information.
In ourjoint exchange arrangement, both parties must identify an " arrangement administrator" through whom contacts, issues and documents are channeled.
Effective October 1,1999, NRC plans to open its new Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) to the public via the NRC web site at
<http://www.nrc. gov />. All publicly available documents generated or received by NRC from that date forward will be represented in both image and searchable full text in the ADAMS Publicly Available Records database. The contents of the current public access system, the Bibliographic Retrieval System (BRS), will be represented in an ADAMS legacy database; BRS records are largely bibliographic citations to NRC documents. You and your staff will be able to search, retrieve, and download directly from these databases. Paper copies of pre-ADAMS NRC documents will continue to be available gratis, upon written request from your Agreement Administrator, from the NRC Public Document Room (PDR). PDR librarians can also assist you in using ADAMS.

l August 16, 1999 Mr. Sabyssachi Chakraborty Head, of Safety Research &
intemational Programs Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety inspectorate CH-5232 Villigen-HSK, Switzerland
- Dear Mr. Chakraborty-I am writing to introduce myself as the new Director of the Office of International Programs (OIP) and to update you on issues relating to the administration of our joint technical information exchange arrangement.
As you may know, Carlton R. Stoiber retired as Director of OIP in January 1999. In June, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) selected me as his successor. The NRC announcement of my selection and background is enclosed for your information.
l In our joint exchange arrangement, both parties must identify an " arrangement administrator" through whom contacts, issues and documents are channeled. By this letter, on behalf of the NRC, I am naming myself as the arrangement adrainistrator. It has been quite some time since we have confirmed with you your designated arrangement administrator.
Finally, as these arrangements provide for reciprocal exchanges of documents, we would like to
' encourage you to send us your organization's annual report and other documentation which would aid us in understanding your nuclear regulatory program in greater depth.
t I would also like to take this opportunity of informing you about electronic access to NRC documents. Effective October 1,1999, NRC plans to open its new Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) to the public via the NRC web site at
<http://www.nrc. gov />. 'All publicly available documents generated or received by NRC from that date forward will be represented in both image and searchable full text in the ADAMS Publicly Available Records database. The contents of the current public access system, the Bibliographic Retrieval System (BRS), will be represented in an ADAMS legacy database; BRS l
records are largely bibliographic citations to NRC documents.
