this legislation the Puclear I?coulatory Comission, cr Decerber 31,14P6, revised'its.raculations~to recuiri a specific licorso for the ireert of uranium in ery form of South African cricin.
This revisicn to cur reculatinns nodifies-tbo Caneral :irport licenco at 10 CFP 110.?7, which has bean in offect since hnuary Ic85, to crecludo its use for the innort of uranium of South Africar criain.
As a related matter, we have revimiad our rernrds to identify any-speci'ic irport licenses, issued prior to Januarv 1985, which are still valid ard undor which material of South African origin could entar the U.S.
As a result of this review, we have identified the following licensas issued to vrur company:

Although the December 31, 1986 revision to cor oeneral imoort licensing-euthority did not directly affect your existing freert licensos, the provisions of the Anti-Apartheid Act nay nevertheless requira mo<iifications to these licenses. Ve have reauested the views of the Evecutive lirarch en this

In the interim, we are requestine you anti all 'other holdere of specific import licenses to refrain from importing anv material of South African origin under these licensos while our review is under wa'/.
