F01A-97-306 APPENDIX A NRC Response to FOl/PA Request:
NRC has two installations of Oracle database:
(1) Nuclear Utility Document Oversight and Control System (NUDOCS)
(2) Advanced Computing System (ACS)
NUDOCS The NUDOCS system provides for the capturing, managing, processing and dissemination of documents that are generated or received by the NRC that are associated with licensing, adjudicatory and regulatory activities of the Commission. The NUDOCS database management system is the repository of the documents and provides query access to NRC staff and the public.
The query capability for NUDOCS is implemented using Oracle installed on a Data General MV/60000. Following are the versions utilized:
