Dear Mr. Miller:
The purpose of this letter is to provide notification in wdting of the completion of the four actions
- addressed in Confirmatory Action Letter (CAL) 1-97-008. Actions one and two, which included initiation ofimmediate corrective actions and a determination of the impact of the equipment classification downgrade program, were documented in a GPUN letter to the Regional Administrator, NRC Region I, dated April 30,1997.
Actions three and four, performance of an assessment of the equipment classification downgrading process and a determination of what assessments and changes to other engineering processes are needed, were completed by July 1 1997 A management meeting with Region I staff was held on July 16,1997, dunng which we discussed our evaluation of the assessment.
