Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2 Commitment Revision - Reciv to Notice of Violation 336/97-01-09 The purpose of this letter is to revise the schedule for a commitment made in our letter dated May 12,1997.M We stated that we would perform a root cause analysis for the -

events cited in the. violation, and for subsequent events, to determine appropriate additional corrective actions, and would submit it to you by July 11,1997.

4 A Common Cause Analysis, which investigated personnel performance in the area of radiation worker. practices, has been completed. - Subsequent to Notice of Violation 336/97-01-09, we received a Notice of Violation applicable to Millstone Unit Nos.1,2, and 3.m The root causes and corrective action recommendations contained in the Common Cause Analysis will be utilized in our response to Notice of Violation (245/97-02-17, 336/97-02-17, and 423/97-02-17).

The revised commitment is as follows:

B16418-1 The results of this Common Cause ' Analysis, including the additionai corrective actions, will be provided to the NRC by July 25,1997.
