July 1997 Jhe reactor operated continueusly in July with the following exceptions: four shutdowns for sched'uled maintenance and refueling.

Major maintenance iteras for the month included: replacing valve 552B and its upstream check valve in the vent tank system; installing modi 6 cation package 97 3 (i.e., replaung the alarm unit for primary heat exchanger op transmitter 928A); installing a modi 6ed log count and rate board in Gamma Metrics signal processor A8 position (this board was mndiSed by Gamma Metrics and is designed to reduce Guctuations of the period indication at low count rates); replacing coupling inserts / bolts on cooling tower fan #2 drive shaft; replacing the pool Te millivolt transmitter (MV/l).

07/14/97 Refueled - removed core 97 30, loaded core 97-3L Installed modi 6 cation package 97 replacing the alarm unit for primary heat exchanger Ap transmitter 928A. Installed a Gamma Metrics modified log count and rate board in Gamma Metrics r.ignal processor A8 position.

07/19/97 Replaced the coupling inserts and volts on the cooling tower fan #2 t'.ive shaft 07/21/97 Refueled - removed core 97-31, loaded core 97 32. Replaced the pool cT millivolt transmitter.

07/28/97 Refueled - removed core 97 32, loaded core 97-33.
