Waterford 3 SES Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 4 Withdrawal of Technical Specification Change Request NPF-38-183 Gentlemen:
By letter dated October 16,1996, W3F1-96-0183, Waterford 3 submitted Technical Specification Change Request NPF-38-183. The proposed change would have i modified Technical Specification Action Requirements 3.2.1 and 3.2.4 and their Surveillance Requirements. The change would have extended the allowable time for the Core Operating Limit Supervisory System to be out of service by monitoring for adverse trends.
This request was submitted by Waterford 3 on behalf of the Combustion Engineering Owners Group (CEOG). CE Report CE NPSD-1055-P entitled, " Extended Time for COLSS Out of Service Operation for Entergy Operations Waterford 3" was the basis for the information provided.
Waterford 3 has determined that it would be more appropriate to submit this change to the CEOG as a change to be incorporated into the improved Technical Specification, NUREG-1432. Waterford 3 is hereby withdrawing Technical Specification Change Request NPF-38-183.
