The revision. which contained numerous changes in the requirements, also modified the quality assurance (0A) requirements for i transportation, As a result of these changes, a separate NRC OA program approval-is no longer needed.

This Diovision was-added to the regulations and requires that inspection anr! mri enance drograms limited to radiographic exposure device 3. source char. . or paccages transporting these devices and meeting the provisions of 1C J.8 Part 34.31(b). or equivalent Agreement State regulations, satisfy the gener61 license requirements specified in 10 CFR Part 71.12(b) for Type B transport packages.
