Dear Mr; Slack:
' 'rour Quality Assurance Program A) proval No. 0216 is hereby terminated. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission pu)lished a. final rule, effective June 27.-1997, revising the requirements of 10 CFR Part 34. " Licenses for Industrial Radiography and Radiation Sdfety Requirements for Industrial Radiographic Operations." The revision. which contained numerous changes in the requirements, also modified the quality assurance ((:A) requirements for transportation. As a result of these changes, a separate NRC OA program approval is no longer needed.
S3ecifically, transportation activities are now contained in a new paragraph.
