Possession Only License No. DPR-73 Docket No. 50 320 Update 2 of the Post-Defueling Monitored Storage Safety Analysis Report Enclosed is Update 2 of the Post-Defueling Monitored Storage Safety Analysis Report (PDMS SAR )
for TM1-2. The last revision of the PDMS SAR was issued as Update 1 on August 17, 1995.. Update 2 revises the PDMS SAR to reflect the current plant configuration and includes minor editorial changes and corrections.
I Significant changes in the TMI-2 plant configuration that are reflected in the PDMS SAR, Update 2

include descriptions of the modified fire detection system, the relocation of a senrice air compressor (Chapter 7), the deletion of a number of non-radiological, deactivated systems and equipment that have been physically removed from the facility (Chapter 6) and organizational changes that have been made to within GPU Nuclear (Chapter 10). Several other minor changes were made througout the PDMS SAR, Update 2 to reflect minor changes in plant configura' ion, operating practices or system status. In addition, numerous editorial changes including updates of page and drawing numbers have been made.
Changes made from Update I to Update 2 of the PDMS SAR are identified by bold face type within the document. Because of pagination changes, a complete revision of the PDMS SAR has been issued as Update 2 - August 1997.
GPU Nuclear will issue the next revision of the PDMS SAR no later than 24 months from the date of this submittal.
