Enclosed is an application for a license (XSOU8769), recently received by the Nuclear l
Regulatory Commission, for the export of 35.0 kilograms of natural uranium and 225.0 I
kilograms of thorium, as contaminants in 62,000.0 kilograms of columbite ore, to Estonia for 4
recovery of the tantalum and niobium for production of Ta (OH), and niobium metal for non-nuclear end uses.
Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views regarding the proposed
