Dear Mr. 'Ihorne:
Enclosed is a letter fran Aerojet Heavy Metals Co. requesting an amendment to export license XUO8623 to increase the quantity of depleted uranium to be exported by an additional 635.04 kilograms. The material will be fabricated into penetrators by the United Kingdon Ministry of Defense Factory.
Although the proposed export normally would not require Executive Branch review under current interagency procedures, NIC would appreciate Executive Branch views, in accordance with established procedures, because of recent concerns regarding shipnents of source material.
