)s NOTICE OF VIOLATION Philadelphia Electric Company Docket No. 50-352 Limerick Generating Station License No. NPF-27 Unit 1 EA 86-34 On January 2-4 and 8-9,1985 the NRC conde:+,ed a special inspection of the physical protection program at Limerick to review (1) the circumstances sur- ,

rounding openings in vital area and protected area barriers which were identi-fied by the licensee's staff and reported to the NRC, and (2) an allegation received by the NRC that security deficiencies were not being properly docu-mented and reported. During the inspection, three violations of NRC require-ments were identified. In accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1985), the violations are set forth below:

Collectively these violations have been categorized as a Severity Level III problem (Suppl went III).

Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, Philadelphia Electric Company is hereby required to submit to this office within 30 days of the date of the letter transmitting this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, including for each violation: (1) the reason for the violations if admitted, the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved, the corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations, and the date when full compliance will be achieved. Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending the response time.
