SUBJECT:
ESSEX EVALUATION This is in response to your memorandum dated March 28, 1986, subject as above. We have considered the proposed evaluation technique and agree to 5
conducting a pilot evaluation at a site willing to voluntarily participate.
As discussed with members of your staff, we recomend that in the interest of making this evaluation technique more acceptable it should coincide with the May Regulatory Effectiveness Review (RER) scheduled for Diablo Canyon.
We request that both Eugene McPeek and the cognizant NRR Project Manager participate in contacting candidate licensees, original signed by Darrel Eisenhut for Harold R. Denton, Director Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation cc:
