REVIEW OF NRC'S SEPARATION-CLEARANCE PROCESS FOR EXITING STAFF AND CONTRACTORS Attached is the Office of the inspector General's (OlG) audit report titled " Review of NRC's S:paration-Clearance Process for Exiting Staff and Contractors." This review was initiated after OlG learned of several cases where local area network accounts had not been deleted for former cmployees and contractors of the agency.
On June 2,1999, we provided a draft of this report to the Executive Director for Operations and the Chief information Officer On July 9,1999, the Deputy Executive Director for Management Services r;;sponded to our draft report and agreed with the report's recommendations.
