Subject:
SUPPLY SYSTEM NUCLEAR PROJECTS WNP-1 AND WWP-3 U.S. NRC BILLINGS FOR OPERATING LICENSE REVIEWS AND INSPECTION FEES
References:
Letter (G01-86-0002/G03-86-004),
G.C. Sorensen to William 0. Miller, t
same subject, dated January 6, 1986, 1
i The referenced letter indicated that we had reviewed your supporting documentation for the initial billings (December 28, 1984) for the accumulated Operating License review costs for WNP-1 and WNP-3.
These bills were paid by the Supply System in January 1985.
We found what we considered to be an error in the billing for WNP-3.
We also had several questions regarding the details of the billings for both WNP-1 and WNP-3.
l The amount of the WNP-3 billing that we believed to be in error represents several hundred thousand dollars of potential overpayment.
l It has now been more than one year since we transmitted our questions and request for reimbursement (should you find merit in our claim regarding the l
WNP-3 billing).
It has also been more than two years since the billings were paid.
We have not yet received a response from the NRC regarding our concerns.
We again ask that you reimburse the Supply System for any overpayment should you find merit in our claim.
We also ask that you respond to our questions regarding those initial billings.
