Mr. J. Nelson Grace In previous correspondence on this subject, Georgia Power Company de-scribed a potentially reportable concern involving the support of cable in long vertical raceway runs.
This concern was initially identified during the Independent Design Review (IDR) conducted for the Vogtle Project by Stone and Webster. Engineering Corporation (SWEC).
In its review of the IDR, the USNRC raised some questions relative to this concern.
Project engineer-ing is currently working with SWEC to resolve these questions and complete the engineering evaluation for reportability.
Georgia Power Company now expects to complete its evaluation of this condition and inform the USNRC of the evaluation results by January 9, 1987.
