Minor Physical changes to LHC Naval Products Facilit,y
Dear Mr. Martin:
n e attached sketch shows minor physica1 changes to UNC Naval Products Facility that were caused by major construction orojects completed recently.
Item i shows the relocation of the fence designed to corral personnel moving between office areas (C Building) and tJe MAA (e.g. M Building). he new gate / fence has been moved approximately 40 ft east from its former location and is designed to corral-personnel as before but also accw udate a new entry to C Building (l') as provided by the new construction.
Item 2 shows relocation of the stairs to the M Building roof. We fonner stairs to the M Building Roof were blocked by the new arsembly storage building. % is new stair location will be controlled by Security as previously done. This new location will also have provisions to move food and trash to and from the cafeteria. h is area and any use of this area will also be controlled by Security.
I have discussed these changes with Gregg Smith of your staff and am providing this detail to you for further study and review. I do not consider these changes to decrease the effectiveness of the UNC Naval Products Security Plan and are reported herewith in accordance with the provisions of 10CFR70.32(c).
I also consider this letter and attaclunent to contain infonnation regarding our facility Security Plan and as specified in 10CFR2.790(d) are not to be placed in the public document room.
