WASHINGTON PUBLIC POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM NUCLEAR PROJECT NO. 3 (WNP-3) DRAFT SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT
' The enclosed Draft Safety Evaluation Report (DSER) for WNP-3 is forwarded to you for your comments and concurrence. This DSER was originally scheduled to be issued in February 1984. Since all construction has been stopped, this draft SER is intended to provide a baseline record of the staff review in the event construction is reinstated. The applicant requested that the DSER issuance be withheld until review of certain additional items could be . included.
The additional items were received as their resources would permit. The document-being circulated represents our review of information received through August 1985.
If you or your staff are aware of staff positions that have changed significantly since the February 1984 to August 1985 time frame, we request your identification so that we may advise the applicant in the transmittal letter that those items may require reconsideration when the licensing process is reinstated.
We would appreciate your review and comments by September 20, 1985. If that schedule is not possible please advise B. Singh (X28423).
