This modification is issued to expand the Statement of Work to include the review of Chapter 2 of the ALWR Requirements 00cument; increase the contract ceiling; and provide additional funding. The contract is therefore modified as follows:

Under C.l.2.2, Scope of Work, add:
Review and perform a technical evaluation of Chapter 2, " Power Generation Systems" of the EPRI Utility ALWR Requirements Document to determine the following concerning the requirements found in Chapter 2: The requirements, if adequately and properly implemented.in accordance with experience and current practice, including the SRP and other regulatory guidance documents, should produce a design which meets the Commission's rules and regulations.
Specifically, the Contractor shall perform a technical evaluation of the text, figures, and tables of Chapter 2, " Power Generation Systems", of the ALWR Utility Requirements Document.
The purpose of the technical evaluation is to determine whether the requirements, current practice, including the SRP and other regulatory guidance documents should produce a design which meets the Commission's rules and regulations.

Under C.2, Meetings and Travel, add:
" Travel relative to Chapter 2 review shall include round trips from the Contractor's offices to NRC Headquarters or EPRI in Palo Alto for. three to four contractor staff members."

Under C.3, NRC Furnished Materials, add:
Three copies of Chapter 2, " Power Generation Systems", of the ALWR Utility Requirements Document.
NRC publications as required to carry out the Technical Evaluation.

Under C.4, Level of Effort, add:
"The estimated level of effort for Chapter 2 review is 3.5 staff months."

Under Section F - Deliveries and Performance, delete the first sentence under paragraph F.1.3, Deliverable End Items, and insert the following:

" Contract completion ~and delivery of end items date is April 30,1987."
Also, the following paragraph:
The contract end item of Chapter 2 review is to be a Technical

Paragraph F.3, Duration of Contract Period, is deleted in its
' entirety and the following is inserted:

Under Section G - Contract Administration Data, Paragraph G.1,
-Consideration, subparagraph 1. under Estimated Cost, Fixed Fee and Obligation is revised to read:

It is estimated that the total cost to the Government for full performance of this contract will be $125, 586.00, of which the sum of $116,284.00 represents the estimated reimbursable costs, and W represents the fixed fee."
All other terms and conditions remain the same.
