COMMONWEALTH EDISON COMPANY'S APPLICATION FOR DEPOSITION SUBPOENAS Pursuant to 10 C.F.R.'S2.720, Commonwealth Edison.

Company (" Applicant") hereby applies to the Atomic Safety and Licensing. Board for issuance of the attached deposition subpoenas to Donald Coss, Danny Holley, Robert Hunter, Larry Phillips, Richard Snyder, Myra Sproull, Timothy Stewart, and Herschel Stout commanding them to appear to give their depositions and to produce specified documents at the times and places' indicated on the attached subpoenas.

In support of this application, Applicant states f

as follows:

1. A quality control inspector harassment issue has been admitted as part of the quality assurance con-tention of Intervenors Bridget Little Rorem, et al. ("In-tervenors") in the Braidwood proceeding. The individuals identified above are present and former QC inspectors in the T

electrical area at Braidwood who are believed to have in-formation relevant to the alleged claims of harassment by L.

K. Comstock management.

2. 'In their August 16, 1985 Response to Appli-cant! Commonwealth Edison Company's First Set of Quality Assurance Interrogatories and Requests to Produce Documents Directed ~to Intervenors Bridget Little Rorem, et al., In-tervenors identified Richard Snyder, Robert Hunter, Herschel Stout, and Danny Holley as individuals who allegedly have been harassed or intimidated by Comstock management.
3. In a recent deposition, John D. Seeders identified Timothy Stewart, Danny Holley, Robert Hunter, Donald Coss, Richard Snyder, Larry Phillips, and Myra Sproull

as either having information concerning morale problems at Comstock or as having information concerning Mr. Seeders' assignments and performance in the area of calibrations at Comstock.

4. dpplicant will be unable to adequately pre-pare its case in the Braidwood proceeding unless it is permitted to depose these individuals and gain access to documents in their possession.
5. Appropriate fees will be paid to the de-ponents in accordance with 10 C.F.R. S2.720 (d) . Once the requested subpoenas are issued, Isham, Lincoln & Beale will

t-arrange to have the subpoenas served by a non-party pursuant 1

to 10 C.F.R. 52.720(c).

WHEREFORE, Applicant respectfully requests that the Licensing Board issue the attached deposition subpoenas to Donald Coss, Danny Holley, Robert Hunter, Larry Phillips',
