PEACH BOTTOM UNIT 1 CONTAINMENT AND EXCLUSION AREA INSPECTIONS 1986 INSPECTION
SUMMARY
ST 12.21, the Semi-Annual Unit 1 Exclusion Area Inspection, was performed in January and August 1986.
Neither of these inspections revealed any unacceptable physical or radiological conditions.
In addition, periodic inspections were performed to monitor water conditions inside the exclusion area.
As noted in the 1985 Unit 1 Annual Decommission Report, inspections of the exclusion area had revealed a moisture spot in the lower basement.
The 1986 inspections revealed no significant change in the size of the moisture spot (currently less than 10 square feet).
The most probable source of the 1
moisture is in-leakage of rain water.
Water samples obtained for radiological analysis and radiological surveys performed during all inspections have revealed no significant activity or radiation levels.
