SEISMIC TIME HISTORY DATA ENERGY ABSORBER APPLICATION POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT As agreed to in our meeting on December 11, 1986, we are transmitting another Bechtel generated artificial time history for the SSE horizontal component to be used in the analysis of the main steam dump system for Point Beach Nuclear Plant.
Attached are an IBM PC compatible floppy diskette which contains the digitized data in ASCII format, and a hard copy and plot of the time history.
Additionally, Bechtel has reviewed Standard Review Plan 3.7.1 and determined that there are no specific power spectrum density requirements for a synthesized time history.
Dr. Hou had requested that both BNL and Bechtel review this SRP to aid in determining that a 15 second duration time history was adequate for the analysis.
