Dear Dr. Kizer:

Thank you for your letter dated July 31, 1986, in response to our 1936 review of your Agreement State Radiation Control Program. We have evaluated your responses and find you are continuing to take important steps toward bringing the California program back within the Agreement State Guidelines. We appreciate your commitments toward solving the problem which still exists within the Radiation Control Program.

We are planning a six month follow-up review to evaluate the status of the issues addressed in your letter.

Mr. Joe Ward, Chief, Radiological Health Branch, has been contacted and has agreed to October 14-16, 1986, as the dates for this follow-up review. We would like to hold our exit meeting with you or Dr. Collins on the af ternoon of October 16, 1986, for this follow-up review.

Mr. Jack Horner will be our representative.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact this office at any time.
