POWER ASCENSION PROGRAM CHANGES HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSE&G) hereby submits the following detailed justifications pertaining to power ascension test modifications (attached) for NRC consideration:
1.
Test Number 11 - Process Computer Test Simplification 2.
Test Number 16 - TIP Uncertainty consists of General Electric Company's technical analysis and PSE&G's safety evaluation for each of the afore-mentioned items.
The conclusion for each item shows the proposed modifications pose no increase in risk to the health and safety of the public or an unreviewed safety question.
The Station Operation Review Committee (SCRC) has reviewed each evaluation and concurs'with the conclusions reached therein. consists of marked up FSAR pages applicable to the proposed testing modifications.
These FSAR changes will be included as an amendment to the FSAR pending approval
.for implementation from the NRC.

Since the enclosed modifications impact finalizing the re-lated power ascension testing detailed procedures, an expe-dited review is requested.
PSE&G is ready to meet with cognizant NRC personnel to discuss the proposed modifications should you require additional information.
