The first item, Mr. Chairman, is SECY 10 87-18 and before the Commission votes on it I wonder if I 11 could ask the Commission to vote to hold this affirmation on 12 less than one week's notice.

The SECY 87-18, a request for stay of 18 immediate effectiveness provisions of license suspension order by the Advance Medical Systems, Incorporated.

j 20 is being asked to act on an order disposing of a request by 21 the Advance Medical Systems, Inc. for a stay of the immediate j

22 effectiveness provision of the license suspension order issued I

23 by the Director of I&E.

24 All Commissioners have approved an order with I

25 modifications by Commissioner Carr which refers the request to f

1 the Administrative Law Judge hearing the merits of the 2

Licensee's complaint.

rule on licenses and radiation safety requirements for weld 9

logging.

The Commission here is being asked to approve a 10 final rule on specific radiation safety requirements related 11 to the use of license materials in weld logging.

All 12 Commissioners have approved the rule with modifications and 13 editorial changes proposed by Commissioners Asselstine, 14 Bernthal and Carr.

Would you please affirm your votes.
