SECY-85-222 - Final Backfit Rule The Commission by a 3-2 vote (with Commissioners Asselstine and j
Bernthal disapproving) approved a final revision to 10 CFR Parts 2 and 50 establishing standards and an agency discipline for future management of backfitting for power reactors.
l Commissioner Asselstine indicated that he will have separate views.
(Subsequent to the meeting, the Commission agreed to delay submittal of the rule for publication in the Federal Register 1
until not later than September 13, 1985, so that all Commissioners can feel confident that their thoughts and views i
were carefully considered, and to permit the possibility of achieving broader support for the rule.)
