Dear Mr. Miraglia:

NRC letter dated March 11, 1987 extends the deadline for implementation of the ATWS rule (10CFR50.62) to the third refueling outage after July 24, 1984. The letter also requested that the District update its implementation schedule based on this new guidance.

The District's implementation schedule has not changed.

In our September 30, 1985 submittal, the District committed to implement the ATWS rule during the Cycle 9 refueling outage which is the third refueling outage after July 24, 1984.
