Vogtle Electric Generating Plant-Units 1 and 2; 50-424, 50-425; NSCW Stainless Steel Piping Fit-Up Attention: Mr. J. Nelson Grace On July 28, 1986, Mr. C. W. Hayes Vogtle Quality Assurance Manager, notified Mr. M. Sinkule of the USNRC Region II of a potentially reportable condition concerning NSCW Stainless Steel Piping Fit-Up.
Based on engineering analysis and testing performed by Bechtel Power Corporation which confirmed that the welds in question would meet their design requirements, Georgia Power Company has concluded that this condition is not reportable pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55(e) or 10 CFR 21.
