Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter provides additional information requested by Mr. Youngblood in response to FSAR Question 423.45.
Our revised response is as follows:
"All Byron Unit 2 and Braidwood Units 1 and 2 testing required by Section C.2.a will be performed in the diesel generator preoperational test, FSAR Table 14.2-25a, except for Part C.2.a(2),
which is tested in the ECCS Full Flow Test, Table 14.2-33, and Part C.2.a(7), which is not applicable because the design does not require switching of one fuel oil supply system to another to meet the 7-day requirement.
Testing for Byron Unit 1 was conducted as part of that unit's preoperational test program which was completed in 1984 to the provisions of the existing FSAR.
The Byron Unit 2 "A" diesel generator was tested under the Byron Unit 1 test program."
Attached is the revised FSAR Table 14.2-25, new FSAR Table 14.2-25a, and Appendix 1.108.
Please address any questions that you or your staff may have concerning this matter to this office.
One signed original and fifteen copies of this letter and the attachments are provided for NRC review.
Very truly yours, e//
