I accepted for participation in the. Training Course (H 314), " Safety Aspects.of Well Logging."

This course is scheduled to be presented November 2 - 6,1998 at Schlumberger Technology Corporation's training facility, Sugarland, Texas, a Houston suburb.

j COURSE: The course starts at 8:00 a.m. each morning beginning on Monday, November 3,

~ 1998. The daily sessions will end at approximately 5:00 p.m. each day except that the course l

will end at noon on Friday, November 6,1998.

LODGING AND TRAVEL: Texas has made arrangements with the Embassy Suites,9090 j

Southwest Freeway, Houston, Texan 77074, (713) 995-0123 (reservations). Please mention i

you are with the NRC Safety Aspects of Well-Logging course when you make your reservation.

The rate is $70.00 per night for State or Federal Staff, if anyone has tax exempt status, present the form at registration. The hotel is holding a block of rooms and your reservation should be made as-soon-as-possible as the hotel will release the rooms on October 26,1998, 1

~ The Embassy Suites is the designated meeting place for rides to Schlumberger's training facility and for bus departure on the fiel.1 trip Tuesday, November 3. Please meet in the lobby of the hotel by 7:30 a.m. to coordinate rides with NRC attendees. If you have any questions on getting rides to the class, please contact Marilyn Kelso through the hotel operator.

Alternativs lodging arrangements may be made by the students. However, each student shou!d remember that rides to the c! ass leave frcm the Embassy Suites. For alternative lodging in the area, please contact Marilyn Kelso, Texas Bureau of Radiation Control at (512) 834-6688.

Take Beltway 8 from Houston Intercontinental Airport west then south to the U.S. Highway 59 South exit (approximately 40 miles). Go south on U.S. 59 for 3.2 miles to the Alt. 90/ Spur 41 Sugarland Exit. Turn right on Spur 41 (Dairy Ashford) and go to the stop light. Turn left on 90A (stay in right land of 90A). Turn right onto Schlumberger Drive. Follow signs to visitor's center parking area. Check-in at visitors' reception in the Forum Building just off visitors' parking area.
