It is a denial of a Petition for Rulemaking Concer ni ng the Need and the Satety of Shipments of Spent Nuclear Fuel.
In this paper the Commi ssi on is asked to approve a response to a petition for rulemaking from the State of Winconsin.
l'h e petition requested that NRC establish a requlatory process for the evaluation and the approval of individual shipments of spent fuel proposed by the licensees.
Ali Commisuioners have voted to deny the petition.
All Commirsioners have approved the Federal Register 110tice and the letter of a response with the modifications provided by Cummi u' i nnor Anm1, tine and those that appear oii the f i rs>t paqe of his comments, n i ci v o l.e sheet.
