50-328 OPERATOR LICENSING CRITERIA FOR SEQUOYAH (SQN) NUCLEAR PLANT
Reference:
Letter from Kenneth P. Barr, NRC, to S. A. White, TVA, dated February 24, 1987 In accordance with the reference, the following license candidates for SQN participated in reactor and plant operations at a power level of greater than 20 percent of full power for one month. These individuals participated in these operations at McGuire Nuclear Plant from February 23, 1987 to March 24, 1987.
Roscoe G. Putnam 55-20961 James T. Springfield 55-20962 These candidates passed all portions of the NRC license examination administered December 15, 1986. Therefore, we request that NRC issue these individuals an operating license limited to modes 5 and 6 for SQN units 1 and 2, facility docket Nos. 50-327 and 50-328, respectively. We request further that the effective license date be March 24, 1987. Subsequent to the performance of five reactivity manipulations at SQN, we shall request operating licenses for all modes of operation.
