20555 Dear Mr. Stolz The recent labor dispute between the Toledo Edison Company and Local 245 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has nocessitated the rescheduling of Toledo Edison's Licensed Operator Training Program for the remainder of 1986.
Annual Simulator Training, which is one week in length for each licensed individual, began on August 18, 1986. The Requalification Training Program will begin in late September and will include additional training developed to support the restart of Davis-Besse.
Due to the changes in our training program, Toledo Edison finds it necessary to reschedule the Annual Requalification Examinations from the previous June / July time frame to the September / October time frame. This will allow each operating shift to complete the annual examination prior to entry into Mode 2.
Further, rescheduling the Annual Requalification Examination, consistent with the above, will allow for a more compr'ehensive examination and accurate representation of the operators' knowledge level.
