m Agenda for NRC Physical Security Review August 19 & 22, 1983 August 19, 1983 (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) An entrance meeting will be conducted with the applicant and NRC staff. - NRC staff and applicant discuss the proposed Physical Security Plan for WPPSS-3 as described in the USNRC Standard Review Plan, Section 13.6 Physical Security. - Implementation schedule for the physical security program. - Specific information to be reviewed are clear diagrams, to approximate, scale, displaying the following: Designated protection and vital areas of the plant site, including a. physical barriers. b. The locations of alarm stations. c. The locations of access control points to protected and to vital areas. d. The locations of parking lots relative to the clear areas adjacent to the physical barriers surrounding protected areas. l e. Special features of the terrain which may present special vulnerability ( problems. } f. The location of relevant law enforcement agencies and their geographi-cal jurisdictions. g. The interaction of plant operations with the security program. - Site tour will be conducted by the applicant for the NRC staff outlining all areas designated on the diagrams listed above. SUMMARY

OF MEETING - WNP-3 LICENSING ACTIVITIES On October 25, 1983, the staff and applicant representatives met to discuss the status of licensing activities at WNP-3. A copy of the meeting notice is enclosed (Enclosure 1). Persons attending the meeting are as follows: D. Coleman, Supply System G. Sorensen, Supply System S. Prussman, EBASCO A. Rohler, Supply System A. Vietti, NRC, LPM G. Knighton, NRC, BC T. Novak, NRC, AD The applicant presented a brieff summary of Supply System organizational changes. (These organizational changes are documented in Amend 1ent 4 to the WNP-3 Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR), transmitted by letter dated, December 6,1983). They informed the staff of the construction statu's of WNP-3 and presented the status of their responses to NRC requests for additional information (RAI's) (Enclosure 2). Supply System management stated they would continue to support the DSER effort, although, due to the projected fuel load date, not in accordance with the existing schedule. They requested additional time to submit responses to RAI's. The staff requested the Supply Systen make a fonnal submittal, stating l their new projected fuel load date and proposed schedule for accomplishing the l remaining licensing review milestones. A copy of the meeting notice and a list of attendees are enclosed (Enclosures 1 and 2, respectively). The purpose of the site visit was to familiarize the NRC structural reviewer with the WNP-3 plant site in preparation for the structural design audit to be conducted in accordance with NUREG-0800. Standard Review Plan Appendix B to Section 3.8.4. The applicant presented a brief description of WNP-3 plant structures (Enclosure 3). The remainder of the day was spent touring the phnt site.
