20555 NRC DOCKET 50-424 OPERATING LICENSE NPF-68 V0GTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT UNIT 1 RESULTS OF EXAMINATION FOR POTENTIAL LEAKAGE OUTSIDE CONTAINMENT Gentlemen:

By letter dated !! arch 9,

1987 (SL-2109) Georgia Power Company submitted resul ts of an examination for potential leakage outside containment pursuant to Item III.D.l.1 of NUREG-0737 and Low-Power License Condition (8)a.

It was stated in that letter that a supplemental report would be submitted following the completion of testing on the Positive Displacement (PD)

Pump and on valve 1-HV-3258 of the Post-Accident Sample System.

That testing has been completed and the results are as follows.

The PD pump has been placed in service and no leakage has been detected from the PD pump or any of the associated components excluded from the Chemical and Volume Control System in the original report.

Valve 1-HV-3258 has been replaced and no leakage has been detected through either the seat or packing.

lesting for leakage from primary coolant sources outside containment has now been completed and no additional leakage has been noted.

The values reported in our March 9,1987 letter are the final leakage figures for the leakage assessment prograa.

Please contact this office if you have any questions.

Sincerely, WY & ^
