APPLICANTS' MOTION FOR PROTECTIVE ORDER

1. The Applicants have this date filed answers to interrogatories and requests for production served upon the Applicants in the above captioned proceeding.
2. The Applicants have objected to certain of the interrogatories for various reasons set forth in the particular responses concerned.
3. Three of the participants which have served discovery requests upon the Applicants have requested production of numerous documents, each at the offices of their attorneys.

N Pollution, production is requested in Washington,'D.C.; in the case of Town of Hampton, production is requested in Portsmouth New Hampshire; in the case of Massachusetts, production is requested in Boston, Massachusetts.

In some cases the requests are overlapping and therefore the documents, in theory, have to be in two places at once.

4. Applicants are prepared to make all the requested documents available at the Seabrook site in comfortable quarters for review by all parties, with the possible exception of KLD documents which will be made available at KLD.

In addition Applicants are prepared to furnish facilities to have designated documents copied for a price equal to Applicants' cost of reproduction.

WHEREFORE, the Applicants move the Board, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.740(c), to enter a protective order:

A.

Sustaining the objections of the Applicants set forth in their responses to interrogatories for the reasons therein stated and directing that the discovery sought not be had; and B.

Directing that production of documents take place during regular business hours at the Seabrook site only, 2
