N9 LEANUP PROJECT DIRECTORATE WEEKLY STATUS MP!RT FOR !!ARCli 9 - 15, 1987 1.
DEFUELING Removal of the standing partial peripheral fuel assemblies continued using the cam cl up tool, snare tools, wedges and shears.
The essemblies are held in tension with the snare cr cam clamp tool and a section of fuel pins (typically S ft. long) is cut off with the shears. Any splayed pins are tritaned and the section is placed in a defueling canister.
Typical fill rates are a canister per two days with canister loadings of approximately 1600 lbs. prior to dewatering.

ENVIROAbENTAL MONITORING US Enviror.nental Protection Agency (EPA) sample analysis results show that TMI site lir4uld effluents are in accordance with regulatory limits, imC requirements, and the City of Lancaster Agreement.

The Lancaster watcr works intake cuaposited stven daily smples February 22 - 28. 1907.
The gama spectrum analyzed by LPA showed no reactor related radioactivity.
