Dear Mr. Crow:

As you know, GA Technologies Inc. (GA) is now under new ownership (Reference 1).

However, our new owners purchased only the facilities and associated land, approximately 120 acres, necessary for the continued conduct of our business. Title to the other approximately 295 acres, mostly undeveloped land, will be retained by the previous owners.

Consequently, those 295 acres need to be released to unrestricted use and subsequently removed from our NRC and state licenses.

Accordingly, GA is seeking to obtain the release of approximately 295 of the approximately 415 acres currently under the jurisdiction of its NRC and state licenses.

This is being pursued by means of two plans.

The first plan, which has already been approved by the NRC (References 2 and 3), addresses the release of approximately 80 acres which includes the site of GA 's former Waste Processing Facility and surrounding land.

Work is well underway on that effort.

The second plan, herewith submitted for your review, addresses the release of approximately 215 additional acres.

These 215 acres consist primarily of undeveloped land, and there is no known contamination. 'Ihe second plan is modeled after, and ceplains identical target criteria as, the already approved first plan.
