Enclosed are:

One (1) original and thirty-seven (37) copies of an Application for Amendment to our Operating License to provide for removing the control Room Emergency Ventilation System (CREVS) from service for up to 60 days for equipment modification and for removal of the wall between the Unit 1 and Unit 2 control rooms.

2.

Thirty-eight (38) copics of documents designated Attachments A

and B

which setforth the change in Technical Specifications and its no significant hazards determination.

After the wall has been removed from betwoon the Unit 1 and Unit 2

control rooms, the modifications to the Unit 1 CREVS are completed and the system has been demonstrated

operable, this temporary technical specification change will expire.

At that time, we will have to implement Technical Specification Change Request No. 126 which was submitted to the NRC on October 9, 1986.

Change Request No. 126 defines the surveillance requirements for the modified CREVS.

This proposed change has been reviewed by the OSC and ORC and was determined to be safe and does not involve an unreviewed safety question.

A check in the amount of $150.00 will be provided under separate cover as payment of the license amendment application fee in accordance with 10 CFR 170.
