Le SPECIAL TEST l-99 Special Test 1-99 was completed on December 30, 1986. The purpose of this Epecial Test is to verify-that at least one of the Diesel Fira Pumps will auto-start when there is a flow from the fire main through a one inch orifice.. This will verify that the Service Water crosstie has an orifice of one and one-half inches or less that limits the make-up water to the fire main.

Safety Evaluation.

1.

The probability of an occurrence or the consequence of an accident, or malfunction of equipment important to safety as previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report is not increased because this test carefully monitors the flow from the fire system as to preclude any adverse effects or unanticipated problems.

2.

The possibility for an accident or malfunction of a different type than any previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report is not created because this test only duplicates a potential event included in the design of the system.

3.

The margin of safety, as defined la the basis for any Technical Specificatien is not reduced because this test will carefully control the conditions so as to preclude any approach to Technical Specification limits.
