_i Genera 1' Electric Co.
He will be responsible for all aspects of the coephny's nuclear program.
Cockfield will join PGE in early February at the conclusion of a 30-year career in the U.S. Navy.
He graduated from the U.S.
11aval Academy at Annapolis in 1955.
His service in ; tice Navy includes a tour as commanding officer of the Nautilus, the first nuclear-powered submarine.
He was promoted to rear admiral in 1982 and has been serving as commander of the Charleston Naval Base and as commander of the Navy's Mine Warfare Force.
Admiral Cockfield brings a great deal of experience in managing nuclear power programs, and we look forward to his joining the PGE management team," said Robert H.
