Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Report of Reactor Building Purging Activities During Cycle 6 Operation As committed to in our letter of February 25, 1987, GPUN is submitting a summary of Reactor Building purging activities during Cycle 6 operation.
Cycle 6 is defined as the time period between the start of plant heatup following the refueling outage (3/20/87) and achieving cold shutdoun for the Cycle 7 refueling outage (6/19/88).
Date Length Reason 03/22/87 13 hrs.
With the reactor shutdown, purging was initiated to support end of outage maintenance.
06/12/87 289 hrs.
Purging commenced approximately 6 hrs, prior to the plant shutdown for the Letdown Cooler replacerxnt outage. The purge was secured prior to heatup from this outage.
02/16/88 69 hrs, Purging commenced approximately 9-3/4 hrs, prior to plant shutdown for the Stator Coolant Flush Outage. The purge was secured prior to Reactor Startup from this outage.
06/17/88 27-1/4 hrs.
Purging commenced approximately 21-1/4 hrs. prior to shutdown for the 7R Refueling Outage.
This purge was secured en 06/18/88 af ter the reactor shutdown, but prior to having the plant in cold shutdown.
06/18!88 17-3/4 hrs, Purging was initiated in support of the pending 7R Outage. At the termination of this purge, the plant was essentially in cold shutdown.
