, The purpose of this modification is to extend the contract term through September 30, 1989 at no additionai cost to the Government, to revise the contract Statement of Work, and to incorporate new provisional indirect rates. The parties agree that the following changes are applicable.
. r A. Paragraph C.1 - Statement. of_ Work is revised as follows:
- Task 2: Plant Data Managemen.t System (PDMS)
The contractor shall complete the Expanded Plant Data Management System. The EPDMS will be expanded to support management of plant data ,
for thermal-hydraulic analysis in general rather than to just support the NFDB. This EPDMS will also be expanded to support other data management applications such as management of age sensitive component information (life extension, license renewal) or severe accident [
management with little or no modification. The completed EPDMS will ,
consist of compiled EPDMS software, an EPDMS Users Manual, a Westinghouse 4-loop demonstration data base application (data to be '
provided by Task 4 below), an NRC executive demonstration, a Training
) Tutorial and an NRC Training Seminar, In addition, SCIENTECH Maryland ,
1 Office personnel will be trained to provide local NRC EPDMS user j support.
i Task 4: Plant Data Entry The EPDMS will be expanded to support management of plant ;
! data for thermal-hydraulic analysis in general rather than to just support the NPDB. The existing statement of work for I i Task 4 is replaced with a new statement of work to provide l
the plant data for a Westinghouse 4-loop demonstration data l l base application. This will include Nuclear Steam Supply i l
(NSS), Palance-of-Plant (80P) and Plant Safety and Controls .
Systems (PSCS) data. This data will be defined at varying ;
i levels of detail to demonstrate the expanded versatility of l l
the EPDM; in suppo, ting Vestinghouse 4-loop thermal-hydraults j analysis in general. This data will be provided on floppy ;
disk and on hard copy. ;
i i B. Section C.3 Meetings and Travel is revised as follows i
for performance of work under this Modification No. 8, the contractor shall ;
' make the following trips:
- 1. Four trips to Washing en, D.C. for project status reviews, I i l 2. One trip to Washington, D.C. for NRC Executive EPDMS demonstration,
- 3. Two trips to SCIENTECH Maryland Office for EPDMS user support L i training, L

NRC-04-85-124 Modification No. 8 Page 3 C. Section F.1 - Reports, Documentation and other Deliverable End Items is revised to replace the following NPDB supporting deliverables:
- 1. Complete 4-Loop PDMS,
- 2. Complete 3-Loop and 2-Loop PDMS,
- 3. Complete set of qualified dat for 4-Loop plant,
- 4. PDMS Users Manual for Westinghouse plants, with the following scheduled deliverables to the NRC Proiect Officer:
- 2. EPDMS users Manual (May 89),
- 3. Westinghouse 4-Loop Demonstration Data Dase (hard copy and electronic media)(March 89),
- 4. EPDMS NRC Executive Demonstration (July 89).
- 5. EPDMS Training Tutorial (Sept. 89),
- 6. EPDMS Training Seminar (Sept. 89).
D, Section F.3 - Duration _of_ Contract Period is modified to read:
"This contract shall become effective on September 30, 1935 and shall continue to completion on September 30, 1989."
E. Pr.ragraph G - Overhead Rates, subparagraph " " is revised to incorporate the following provi!ional rates for the period f rom ,
September 30, 1988 through September 30, 1089.
