MINUTES OF CRGR MEETING NUMBER 146 i

The Committee to Review Generic Requirements (CRGR) met on Wednesday, September 14, 1988 from 1-5 p.m.

A list of attea. fees for this meeting is attached (Enchsure 1).

The following items were addressed at the meeting:

Hours.

The Committee recommended in favor of forwarding the proposed policy statement to the Commission subsequent to several modifications

that are to be coordinated with the CRGR staff.

Systems at Nuclear Power Plants." The Committee recomtended in favor of issuing the proposed Reg. Guide for public comment subject to resolution i

of the remaining CRGR recommendations that are to be coordinated with the l

CRGR staff.

This matter is discussed in Enclosure 3.

B. Morris (RES) and T. King (RES) presented for CRGR review a proposed rule on maintenance.

The Committee recommended in favor of forwarding the proposed rule to the Commission subject to incorporation of minor clarifications that are to be coordinated w'th the CRGR staff.

4 In accordance with the ED0's July 18,1983 di,%ctive concerning "Feedback and Closure of CWGR Reviews," a written response is required from the cognizant 4

office to report agreement or disagreement with the CRGR recommendations in these minutes.

The response, which is required within five working days after receipt of these minutes, is to be forwarded to the CRGR Chairman and if there is disagreement ~ith CRGR recommendations, to the EDO for decisionmaking.
