THE UNIT WAS BASE-LOADED THIS MONTH. ON THE 4TH POWER WAS REDUCED TO 99.5% TO ASSURE THAT IT WOULD NOT EXCEED THE LICENSE THERMAL LIMIT.

AT 1553 0F THE.12TH THE UNIT WAS TRIPPED Wii!LE TRYING TO FIND A PROBLEM WITH THE TURBINE CONTROL SYSTEM. THIS ENDED A CONTINUOUS RUN OF 245 DAYS. THE PROBLEMS WERE CORRECTED AND THE UNIT RETURNED TO SERVICE ON THE 13TH AT 1004.

ON THE'27TH AT 0947 AN NUE WAS DECLARED ~.UE TO BOTH DIESEL COOLING WATER PUMPS BEING OUT OF SERVICE. ACTION WAS TAKEN TO BRING THE UNIT TO A HOT-SHUTDOWN CONDITION. TWENTY MINUTES LATER NUMBER 12 COOLING WATER PUMP WAS REPAIRED THUS ENDING THE NUE. THE UNIT THEN RETURNED TO NORMAL OPERATION. THERE WERE NO OTHER ITEMS TO REPORT.

DURING THE FIRST FEW DAYS POWER WAS REDUCED TO 97% DUE TO FQ LIMIT.

ON THE 4TH POWER WAS REDUCED TO 99.5% TO ASSURE THAT IT WOULD NOT EXCEED THE LICENSE THERMAL LIMIT.

ON THE 27TH AT 0947 AN NUE WAS DECLARED DUE TO BOTH DIESEL COOLING WATER PUMPS BEING OUT OF SERVICE. ACTION WAS TAKEN TO BRING THE UNIT TO A HOT SHUTDOWN CONDITION. TWENTY MINUTES LATER NUMBER 12 COOLING WATER PUMP WAS REPAIRED THUS ENDING THE NUE. THE UNIT THEN RETURNED TO NORMAL OPERATION.

ON THE 31ST AT 0259 POWER WAS REDUCED TO 75% TO ALLOW WORK ON THE REHEATER STOP VALVE. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED AND THE UNIT RETURNED TO 99.5% POWER AT 1143 0F THE SAME DAY. THERE WERE NO OTHER ITEMS TO REPORT.
